A 67-year-old man has been remanded on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly assaulting and stabbing his son’s friend during a New Year’s Eve party.
The suspect, identified as Toshiaki Suzuki, 67, reportedly had a chat with his son, his son’s sidekick, who is in his forties, and one on Saturday January 1 at his home in Tsurumi Ward, Japan another man drank and celebrated the new year.
During the party, however, Suzuki got into a disagreement with his son’s boyfriend, with the duo’s argument quickly escalating into an argument. When Suzuki’s son briefly left the room during the party, the suspect allegedly pulled a knife in a fit of anger and started stabbing the victim in the stomach, Japan Today reported.
After the knife stab, the victim was hospitalized in critical condition for treatment. When officers questioned Suzuki, he told officers that he was angry and attacked the man and has no intention of killing him.
In a similar but unrelated incident, a man was reportedly pursued by his attacker before he was stabbed to death about 62 times in public in front of appalled onlookers after drinking and cocaine with his brutal assailant at a party in Birmingham, England Mal reported.
Marian Savu, 43, of Romania, a father of three, was reportedly stabbed to death by Erlin Hasa, 35, an Albanian national, after a party at a Perry Barr home in Birmingham, England.
On the day of the incident, Hasa and Savu were partying with several other men in a ground floor apartment in Perry Barr. A few hours later, around 2 a.m., the duo reportedly shared cocaine with another man. A little later, while the victim was sitting and reading his wife’s messages on his cell phone, Hasa took out a knife, put his arm around Savu’s neck in a friendly manner and allegedly rammed the blade into the victim’s body at close range. Hasa then proceeded to poke the knife repeatedly into the victim’s neck and torso.
Somehow escaping subsequent attacks, Savu ran out of the apartment on Perry Villa Drive and headed for an intersection. However, the defendant managed to chase him down and continued to stab him with his knife even after Savu fell to the ground.
After killing Savu, Hasa went back to the apartment to wash the blood off his clothes.
Meanwhile, agents responding to the crime scene followed a trail of blood to the address on Perry Villa Drive, where a disoriented Hasa, covered in blood, reportedly opened the door. Hasa was arrested and charged with murder.
