Pizza Hut’s famous buffet and ice cream factory are back after being scrapped

Pizza Hut is bringing back its hugely popular all-you-can-eat buffet and ice cream factory after coronavirus restrictions were lifted.

The chain had to suspend both self-service options – some of its most popular offerings – because of the pandemic.

Both are now back on the menu after the government lifted restrictions on Monday, July 19.

Bottomless Pepsi refills are also set to return to the pizza chain.

Pizza Hut had served a buffet during the pandemic, but customers had to sit and ask a waiter to bring various pizzas and salads to the table.

An ice cream factory option – where customers pour their own soft ice cream into bowls and then top them with all sorts of goodies – did not exist at all during the pandemic.

Pizza Hut said it will continue to use a string of stringent hygiene and cleaning measures in all of its restaurants to ensure the health and safety of all customers and employees.

How much does it cost?

The buffet can be ordered from 3 p.m. in all restaurants in England on weekdays.

Adult meals are £ 8.99 and children’s portions are £ 5.99, down from £ 7.95 for an adult and £ 4.95 for children.

Kathryn Austin, Pizza Hut’s Chief People and Marketing Officer, said, “We’re excited to finally be back in control and giving them back their beloved buffet.”

She added: “We would also like to thank all of our brilliant team members at Huts across the UK for their hard work under the difficult circumstances of the past 18 months.

“As we celebrate the return of our beloved unlimited offerings, the safety of our guests and team members remains of the utmost importance, and we ask all of our customers to eat responsibly with us.”
