. People from all over the world will gather here in Birmingham to watch and take part in this top sporting competition. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Newsweek thinks so too – they named TWG2022 one of 22 Great Things to take place in 2022. </p>

<p>Recently, Birmingham was voted one of the 22 Best Travel Destinations of 2022 by Conde Nast Traveler magazine, thanks in part to our city hosting TWG2022. The competition has now been declared one of 22 Great Things that will take place in the coming year. </p>
<p>What exactly are the World Games? It is the new generation of global sports competitions that welcome top athletes from around the world. 3,600 athletes from more than 100 countries can compete for gold in 34 unique, multidisciplinary sports including:</p>

<li>Artistic sport</li>
<li>Ball sports</li>
<li>Martial arts</li>
<li>Precision sports</li>
<li>Weight training</li>
<li>Trend sports</li>
</ul>
<p>TWG2022 Birmingham will run from Thursday 7 July 2022 to Sunday 17 July 2022 – to mark the event’s 40th anniversary. The economic impact is estimated at $ 256 million.</p>
<h2>Birmingham welcomed TWG2022 with open arms</h2>
