An investigation is underway after a man was found shot in a vehicle in west Birmingham Saturday afternoon.
West Precinct officers responded at 3:40 p.m. to an intersection in the 800 block of Graymont Avenue on a report of a person shot, said Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
Officers arrived and found the male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service transported the victim to UAB Hospital. Police said his injuries are life-threatening.
It wasn’t immediately known if the driver was the intended target.
