Thousands of films are released in Hollywood and around the world each year. As original as some of the titles are, they may never be an “Old man, where’s my car?” – Repetitions are difficult to avoid. Every now and then a film appears with exactly the same title as another.
To identify 24 films with completely different storylines but the same title, 24/7 Tempo reviewed nearly 3,000 films. Remakes were banned.
Maybe movie producers and directors didn’t check IMDb for references before choosing the movie title, and maybe they deliberately named their production after a well-known movie for marketing purposes. Sometimes this trick works, and the newer strip becomes more popular.
It is not without reason that the film business is accused of a lack of imagination. While some films share the same title, much of what is released today is derived from what were once groundbreaking original films – That’s 20 films that just can’t stop making them again.
