Pubs and restaurants that have had problems in the past 12 months can finally give customers access – but social distancing measures remain in place.
Customers have to order, eat and drink while sitting. There will be no curfew and no one will be required to have a “full meal” with alcohol.
People are allowed to meet in groups of up to 30 people in beer gardens or in places that can be eaten outdoors.
Indoor hospitality venues such as movie theaters and music venues are allowed to open – but they cannot yet operate at full capacity.
Hotels, hostels and B & Bs as well as children’s playgrounds are allowed to reopen.
People can again participate in indoor group sports, and exercise classes can begin at gyms, leisure centers, and other venues.
If Phase 3 goes well, June 21st will be the crucial time when all restrictions could be lifted.
