For plant people, orchids are known to be difficult. Like a moody teenager, orchids need a lot of time, care, and love from those around them. So if you want to start with one of these beautiful and delicate flowers we have seven stores to find them in Birmingham.

If you want orchids, Uncut Flowers has one of the biggest strains in Birmingham. Since orchids are their specialty, Uncut Flowers is the place to go. They offer different types of arrangements in multiple colors that are suitable for any occasion from weddings to Mother’s Day.
2. Norton’s Florist

The oldest florist in Birmingham, Norton’s Florist, opened in 1921. He was recently named Birmingham’s Best Florist. So, you know you are getting some high quality bud. Norton’s has everything from beautiful flower arrangements to plants like these beautiful orchids.
Norton’s Florist also has a section on their website devoted to plant care and another section dedicated to the language of flowers. It’s a great resource if you need help keeping your orchids alive or if you want to know the appropriate flower to send to someone.

bloom + petal is a cool, cute flower shop in Birmingham that also has gifts for every occasion. This family owned florist offers two types of pot orchids that look stunning. If you’re not in the mood for an orchid, they also have Birmingham-inspired floral arrangements.
4. Dorothy McDaniel’s

Dorothy McDaniel, recently named Retailer of the Year by the Alabama Retail Association, has orchids that really stand out. Either alone, together, or sharing the spotlight with other flowers in an arrangement, these orchids will surprise you. They also have a Birmingham-style arrangement called the Iron City Orchid.
5. Oak Street Garden Shop

Talk about pretty. The orchids at the Oak Street Garden Shop in Crestline Village are stunning and look especially good in the cute and cozy atmosphere of the store. Since they sell orchids all year round, you can always add to your collection.

Wild Things is located in Homewood and focuses on keeping their flowers and floral arrangements a little wild and natural. Their orchids are beautiful and come in cool, chic vases and arrangements.

The archaic spelling of the name Shoppe is intentional here, with the hope that every user will find something quaint and charming.
