The 14-goal striker Birmingham City, who tried to sign in January, could be Eddie Howe’s first Celtic signing

Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet is a Celtic summer destination – the 24-year-old received a £ 2m bid from Birmingham City back in January.

Nisbet, a Scottish international striker, has scored 14 goals in 33 league games for Hibs this season. Last time he scored 18-25 for Dunfermline and has continued on his way with a move to Celtic now in sight.

The Scottish sun claims that the Bhoys want to bring Nisbet over the summer. Incoming manager Eddie Howe reportedly “presented” the Nisbet transfer and it is believed that £ 3million will secure the transfer.

Whether or not Birmingham City will revive its interest remains to be seen. Her interest in Nisbet came under Aitor Karanka and with him gone and Lee Bowyer now on top, Blues could pursue a different strategy for transfers.

It came after Birmingham brought on Sam Cosgrove from Aberdeen – the Englishman began to share the blues fans’ opinion towards the end of the season, so they could reconsider signing from the Scottish market for the time being.
