Enjoy a night out with the vocal harmony trio The Leading Ladies

Michelle Baird, Ceara Grehan and Lynne McAllister are celebrating 18 years together and will be streaming “Date Night with the Leading Ladies”, a live concert from the Ardhowen Theater on Friday, April 23rd.

Described by one reviewer as “undoubtedly three of the most talented singers to emerge from the local scene,” the award-winning singers bring rich voices, unique harmonies and versatility to the stage in the form of The Leading Ladies.

The ladies are all accomplished soloists and have all played leading roles in many major theaters. They are constantly engaged in their own solo work and have won the coveted AIMS award for best singer in Ireland three times.

The trio offers fun, glamor, inimitable vocal arrangements and a harmonious style. Her talent has received widespread recognition from audiences and critics and she is regularly asked to perform at events of all kinds in prestigious venues such as the Belfast Grand Opera House, Waterfront Hall. Odyssey Arena, Dublin’s National Concert Hall, Buxton National Opera House, Birmingham NEC and Royal Horseguards London.

Lynne from Waringstown said: “After a year with no singing and many canceled performances, we are very excited to be invited to livestream concerts in the coming weeks and play music that we really enjoy singing.

“The girls and I have been performing together for a very long time and have built up a very extensive repertoire that allows us to offer a wide range of show styles, from classic crossover and musical theater to swing, country, Celtic and 40s chart / 50s hit. We enjoy singing together so much and we really missed it. ”

Ceara from Lisburn said, “We all have full time jobs and are mothers to young children. We feel very blessed to still have so many wonderful opportunities to perform.

“Michelle and I worked from home full-time and Lynne was teaching online so we didn’t really have the time to record online. However, we started rehearsing outside in my garden a few weeks ago and it was so nice to be doing what we love to do again, albeit at a distance! ”

Michelle, who lives in Bangor, added; “The past few years have been particularly busy with appearing at key events such as the Dalriada Festival, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, Armed Forces Day and Festival of Flight, as well as our regular St. George’s Market and many weddings.

“It was certainly weird not being able to do anything last year and now we have many exciting plans including recording a new album, recording a beautiful song in Dublin, and some beautiful music written by our talented friend Darren Day .

“We are also long overdue to take new photos and a promo video, so the diet begins now. We feel so lucky to still have so many options after all this time together, and yes, we will continue to enjoy every special moment. “

The Date Night with the Leading Ladies will take place on Friday, April 23rd at 8pm live at the Ardhowen Theater in Enniskillen and can be viewed on the Ardhowen Facebook page. The Leading Ladies will celebrate Armed Forces Day live at the Strule Arts Center in Omagh on Saturday, June 26th at 8 p.m. which will be featured on Strule’s Facebook page.
